Soft, bland foods tend to be best tolerated for Ulcerative Colitis or Crohn’s disease.

 

You may benefit from the following general suggestions:

  • Limit dairy products
  • Try low-fat foods
  • Experiment with fiber
  • Avoid “gassy” foods
  • Eat smaller meals
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Keep a food diary to determine food tolerance
  • Experiment with fiber, find the right amount
  • Supplements or probiotics may be helpful
